Shatoi King is a native Houstonian. Her undergraduate nursing education was obtained at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, where she was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She obtained a Master’s of Science in Nursing degree from Walden University. She also is an ANCC board certified Medical-Surgical nurse. She has been a registered nurse for 13.5 years working in many aspects of nursing. Her passion is nursing education and she has been a professor for over 8 years. She currently works in the RN-BSN transition program as a nursing professor full time at University of Houston-Clearlake, Pearland campus. She is currently enrolled in the PhD program at University of Texas Medical Branch and aspires to graduate in 2019.
